History of the company Miranda Weissenfeld
1948 Miranda Weissenfeld established in Vienna a production of indian- and cowboy accessories, jumping ropes and carefully crafted feather eye masks.
1958 The company moved to the current location and took over a production of paper-decorations, which were produced till the early 1970s. The daughter and the son-in-law started to work for the company. The first costumes for cowboy and indians have been designed. Till today this is the only production of costumes in Austria. Also the production of toy drums started.
1972 Gabriele Greif took over the management of the company and expanded to wholesales activities for the austrian market.
1984 Andreas Greif, the grandson of the founder, entered the company. The first appearance at the Nürnberg Toy Fair took place. The export of the traditional products began.
1993 In third generation Andreas Greif took over the business and successfully increased exports to many european countries. Mainly the indian items and the toydrums enjoy great popularity among specialized shops.
1998 A retail store for party and carnival items opened in the center of Vienna.
2004 MIRANDA-WORLD as a brand for exquisite products according to the principle DRESS UP and PLAY is established.
